Wow! Talk about being insensitive and unprofessional. The guy needs to be reminded that he is a PODIATRIST and not an M.D. If you are a ...moresenior, diabetic, and have foot ulcers, I highly discourage you from seeing Dr. Lerman, unless you want to hear him say (after a few visits), "oh, we need to cut that whole foot off, it looks really bad!" This happened to us, but when we went to someone else for a 2nd opinion, the doctor said only the toe needs to be amputated! 2 months later, I'm doing great and have no complications. Thank god I still have my foot! Dr. Lerman does nothing else, but crack lame jokes and space out and forget what you said a second ago. Dr. Lerman is excellent at treating bunyons, athlete's foot, and trimming the good old diabetics toe nails, but the rest is all russian roulette - you'd be better pointing the muzzle at your own foot and pulling the trigger. On the other hand, Dr. Peter Schubart, who runs the clinic and who is actually a "REAL" physician is a vascular specialist and is awesome. I've seen him on and off since my last toe amputation for other ulcers and have had excellent results! ...collapse
